Sanyal concedes three prisoners and a ransom, tells the passengers they are going home, then stands silent while a hijacker mocks India.

Back home and blamed for Kandahar, Sanyal tells a sceptical superior that India must plant its people deep inside Pakistan.

A car with a red beacon crashes the gates, guards fall, a human bomb detonates, and security races to lock the MPs down.

After the Parliament attack, Sanyal's long-shelved file finds one taker: a long-term plan named Dhurandhar. They drink to it.

A veteran asset shares six years of patience, the gang map of Lyari, and the dark rumour about Rehman Dakait's mother.
