In the countryside the crew dreams out loud: a Maserati and a gym, new lungs for Moscow, a winery in Provence, an island, a plane. Rob big, dream big.

Tokyo narrates the first victory, Berlin picks a shift of workers for round-the-clock printing, and the crew cheers as the first notes roll out.

The gang argues over Berlin's order to kill a hostage, the Professor does not answer, and Moscow is told the shooter was his son.

The Professor warns Berlin against improvisation; Nairobi shows a note made with care, and Berlin is asked whether he is a robber before a human being.

Berlin needles Arturo about mixing up his wife's name; mid-surgery Arturo admits he cannot choose between Laura and Mónica. Nairobi spots the lost note.

In Toledo the Professor explains the Resistance strategy: Spain will stand with them like the Puerta del Sol campers, and minors inside stop any assault.

The gang asks how they get out; the Professor unveils a decoy dig, a tunnel he built five years ago, and the arithmetic of 2,400 million euros.

Nairobi shows Berlin his own face on the news while the Russian guard builds a sketch, pushing the Professor toward an unthinkable move.

Nairobi taunts Berlin with the lurid charges the news pins on Andrés de Fonollosa; Berlin denies it all and realises the jacket button was not his doing.

Berlin stalks through the Mint to punish Denver for the jacket button while Nairobi begs him not to wreck the plan; Helsinki holds her back at gunpoint.

Nairobi and Moscow pull guns on Berlin, Denver turns his on him too, and Berlin defuses it by declaring life a miracle as Tokyo discovers Mónica alive.

Moscow shouts that the tunnel has reached soil; the gang erupts around the printing presses, calling the money the heartbeat of the world.

Berlin summons Alison's teacher Mercedes and, over Nairobi's objection, compares unruly girls to unbroken mares before grilling her about her own past.

Alison claims she is untouchable as a safe-conduct; Berlin answers with her relatives' photos and the cost of hiring a killer, then scolds Nairobi.

The control call goes unanswered again. A flashback explains the six-hour cycle and what 24 hours of silence means. Berlin says keep printing.

Tokyo tears into Berlin for sleeping with a hostage; Denver admits he is with Mónica; Nairobi explains Stockholm syndrome; Berlin names a Chernobyl plan.

The TV goes dark after news from Toledo. Tokyo calls a vote on the Chernobyl plan; Helsinki, Rio, Moscow and Denver split it and Nairobi breaks the tie.

Tokyo smashes Berlin's medicine, demands the Chernobyl plan and puts a revolver to his head, pulling the trigger five times while Nairobi pounds the door.

Nairobi says Tokyo is wrecking the plan; Tokyo says Nairobi lost her son. Berlin tells Tokyo he alone knows the way out and dares her to shoot.

Nairobi tries to stop the roulette; Tokyo fires back with the cruelest thing she can say about Nairobi's abandoned son.

Berlin asks the crew to join hands like platelets closing a wound; Rio calls him a psychopath for sending Tokyo to prison.

Rio asks Moscow, Nairobi and Denver one by one whether handing over Tokyo was right, and finds them all on the Professor's side.

Rio walks out on the heist; Berlin hands him a white flag, tells him never to stop believing in love and holds him as he goes limp.

Moscow jokes about blood sausage while Nairobi and Helsinki fight to stop the bleeding; Denver panics and Tokyo counts three bullets.

Nairobi drives the hostages to print to the max for a few more hours; Berlin dismisses 500 euro bills as being for Russians and tacky people.

The crew argues over skipped lines in the prayer at Moscow's grave; Tokyo reflects on wishing life came with a pause button.

Mónica is given her crew name, then the gang passes the final figure from mouth to mouth: nine hundred and eighty four million euros.

Berlin pulls rank on Nairobi over the last billion; she fires back about his hostage wedding and what Ariadna does after every night with him.

With the GEOs on the stairs Berlin orders Helsinki to drag Nairobi into the tunnel, turns her sexism jibe into a farewell, and locks Ariadna in with him.

Under heavy fire Berlin makes Ariadna load the machine gun while Nairobi begs to go back, and he crowns them Romeo and Juliet, Bonnie and Clyde.
