Palermo calls DEFCON 2 while Nairobi makes Helsinki promise to tell her son who she was; the gang takes positions as the armored assault begins.

Asked for his last words, the Professor says sorry to every member by name until Tokyo stops him; Sierra signs off with a mocking farewell.

While Rio cuts through steel, Tokyo tells him she let him break up with her and jokes she may have to kidnap him to restart things.

While the gang digs in, Palermo spots fear in their faces and announces that Sierra is no longer playing for the police.

Pinned under a two-ton statue, Helsinki asks Palermo to amputate; Palermo refuses and swears they will find a lever instead.

Helsinki is dragged clear, the Professor orders the stampede, and Tokyo's team catches the soldiers from behind once they leave cover.

Pinned in the bank kitchen, the gang heaves a cast-iron countertop into a barricade and bats a grenade back at the soldiers, with a taunt about queso.

The blast wounds Helsinki and the gang scrambles to patch him. On the other side, Gandía's grenade has killed a soldier and Arteche turns on him in fury.

Under the night sky Rio names the constellations and reads Tokyo's future: she will meet a normal, lonely, good guy, and Cassiopeia says it will happen dancing.

A song plays as Rio asks Tokyo to dance and the two of them spin around the Toledo house in the flashback.

Rio comes back to free the wounded Tokyo but she tells him there is no time. She asks if he remembers their first night in Toledo, when they danced.

Tokyo tells Rio not to be sad, that something ends today but his next life starts now, then turns to face the soldiers because it is party time.

Everyone begs Tokyo to jump. She asks the Professor if he can go on without her, says it is her turn to protect him, and chooses a free soul over a prison cell.

Rio refuses to put down his weapon and Palermo argues that sparing Gandía is what got Nairobi and Tokyo killed.

The last soldiers standing are taken at gunpoint, Tokyo's keepsake is returned, and terms are set for a surgeon.

Tokyo narrates from beyond as Rio senses her presence, recalling the magic door her mother invented for when she was scared.

Toasting 90 tons of gold, the newest crew member demands a city name; the gang mocks his pick until he sells them on Sanfermines and Hemingway.

The Professor tells the gang the gold was stolen, orders total secrecy and gives his word he will recover it; Tokyo notes that nobody believed him.

Rio finds no dump trucks on the cameras. Lisbon turns on the Professor for surrendering to fake police, falling for the same illusions he uses himself.

Taking Lisbon's cue, the Professor spots tampered camera footage, reasons the thieves are hiding rather than fleeing, and concludes the gold is being buried.

Tamayo parades Rio and Stockholm's ruined futures in front of the kneeling Professor and offers freedom to whoever gives up the gold.

Locked in the basement, Palermo tears into Rio's optimism, Helsinki says he wants peace and love, and Palermo hints that being alive is the sign.

Tamayo announces the heist is over and reads out the gang members taken down one by one, with Denver named as a cooperating witness.
